Have you tried performing any online Virus scans? Here are a few to choose from: What type of anti-virus are you using and when was the last time you ran a scan? Have you tried doing a scan in " SAFE MODE"? What anti-malware programs are you trying to install? Could it be a virus or just a problem with Windows XP?Could be malware related or it could be the result of some other issue.
